in training.....

enjoying a sunny April day on the trail

We have been taking weekend hikes to get our feet in shape for the hours we will spend with boots on. The early spring weather has been windier and wetter than other recent years, just the right conditions to expect for May in the UK.
This trip, we have 7 different Ordnance Survey Explorer Maps to help us find our way (provided by Footpath Holidays) ...

Setting up a new blog for our Wessex Ridgeway Walking Trip

After a week or two of that volcano in Iceland spewing out ash, we hoping for a break over the hills of southern England. This new walking trip will start inland and end at the south coast in Lyme Regis over rural areas mostly unchanged for centuries.

We will have a 'he said, she said' format, E & I will each describe our common, yet different experiences each day. The path is quite rural, and we know there will be days where we will not get connected to the web, so we will update as we can.
